Customs Services AcrossPoland

Poland is where VIMPOL started and where most of our customs work is done. Our head office is in Białystok, with a second office at the Korczowa border crossing. We also handle customs procedures remotely across Poland — at border crossings and inland customs offices, as well as at port, temporary storage facilities and customs warehouses. For imports, we file standard declarations, declarations under Customs Procedure 42 and imports with VAT settled under Article 33a. If needed, we can advise you on which option best fits your shipment and business. We also file export declarations and open T1 and T2 transit procedures in NCTS. When goods need additional control, we prepare CHED documentation or the WIJHARS quality check on agri-food products, and deal with the veterinary and phytosanitary services on your behalf.

Customs Services We Provide in Poland

Standard import clearance

The usual route for goods released for free circulation in Poland. We check the customs documentation, calculate duty and VAT based on the provided commodity code, file the import declaration and follow the procedure through to release.

Import under customs procedure 42

For goods imported into Poland and then transported to another EU country. Under Procedure 42, import VAT can be exempt in Poland when the required conditions are met, with VAT accounted for in the country of destination. We prepare the customs declaration and check the documents required for the procedure.

Import with VAT settled under Article 33a

Instead of paying import VAT at the time of customs clearance, eligible businesses can account for it through their VAT return under Article 33a. We prepare and file the import declaration using this method when the required conditions are met.

Export declarations

We prepare and file export declarations for goods leaving Poland. We check the required documentation, submit the declaration to customs and follow the procedure through to completion, supporting you if any customs questions arise along the way.

T1 transit in NCTS

External transit for goods without Union status. We can open T1 at border crossings or inland customs locations, including ports, airports and customs warehouses, for onward movement to the office of destination.

T2 transit in NCTS

Internal transit for goods with Union status, allowing them to move under customs control while keeping their Union status when required by the route. We can open T2 for eligible goods from customs offices in Poland for onward movement to the office of destination.

WIJHARS quality control of agri-food products

Quality control for imported agri-food products subject to WIJHARS inspection. We prepare and submit the required notification and coordinate the inspection with the relevant authority.

CHED-A for live animals

For consignments of live animals entering the EU. We prepare the CHED-A documentation before arrival and coordinate the required controls with the veterinary authorities.

CHED-D for feed and food of non-animal origin

For certain food and feed of non-animal origin subject to official controls when entering the EU. We prepare the CHED-D documentation and coordinate the required border controls.

CHED-P for products of animal origin

For products of animal origin and other goods subject to veterinary border controls. We prepare the CHED-P documentation and coordinate the required veterinary controls at the border.

CHED-PP for plants and plant products

For plants, plant products and other goods subject to phytosanitary controls. We prepare the CHED-PP documentation and coordinate the required phytosanitary controls.

United Kingdom

Import, export and transit declarations from our office in Ashford, Kent, plus GMR in GVMS and ELO for crossings through France.

Hungary

T1 and T2 transit opened on the Hungarian side of the EU border, with the entry summary declaration filed in ICS2 before arrival.

Slovakia

Transit opened at the Slovak border crossing with the PCV safety declaration included, or the PCV filed on its own.
